Glitz 2009: Celebrate TriPoint

It was all treats this Halloween Night as partygoers celebrated the Tripoint Medical Center Opening and the 20th Anniversary of The Glitz, held by Lake Health Foundation. Incorporating for the very first time a live auction, Lake Health did so in great style by offering great items up for bid including a stylish and elegant 2003 Jaguar Vanden Plas.

Held at LaMalfa, in Mentor, it was all glitz and glamour for this black-tie, 20th anniversary celebration. Upon entering, everyone had the opportunity to raise a toast to Lake Health by purchasing elegantly hand painted champagne glasses which could be filled endlessly at the champagne bar. With flavored champagne in hand the next stop was the unbelievable appetizers LaMalfa is so well known for. An incredible beginning to an incredible event.

Lake Health did a great job assembling a large silent auction. Featuring something for everyone, you could easily start and even complete your holiday gift shopping season with the vast variety of items available.

With plenty of raffles, silent auction items to bid on and the wonderful sounds of the Dave Sterner Trio - you would think the evening would begin and end there. But there was plenty more.

With the invitation to dinner and the official welcoming, LaMalfa once again treated everyone to another signature dinner. Known for their presentation as well as delicious entrees, Marty and his staff did not disappoint. And of course everyone was anticipating LaMalfa's famous dessert bar.

New this year was the live auction. Never before had Lake Health offered a live auction at their event. So you can imagine how honored I was to be selected to conduct this inaugural auction event. And with trips to Peek-N-Peak, The French Quarter, Hilton Head and more, the crowd was more than excited.

And the grand live auction item featured this year? An absolutely stunning 2003 Jaguar Vanden Plas - shown in marvelous fashion. Just one look and you could easily envision yourself driving down the road in class and style with all the amenities one could imagine. The highest bid of $26,000 claimed this prize and you could hear the applause a mile away!

It really was a wonderful night for all. All-in-all, Lake Health Foundation threw a wonderful party and everyone responded. From the opening of the doors to the last "good-night" it truly was an evening of glitz and glamour.
