7th Annual Butterfly Celebration Gala
"Lillies by the Lake"

I truly believe summers in Northeast, Ohio wouldn't be the same without the magic of the Stewart's Caring Place, Butterfly Gala. And this year was no exception as the home of Dan and Ginger Marchetta provided the gorgeous backdrop of this year's event, themed, "Lilies by the Lake". Everyone anticipated the arrival of the 7th annual event, and Dan and Ginger, along with their daughters, Alexia and Ashley, got into the spirit of the day as the host family greeted more than 500 guests for this magical fundraiser.

And magical it was, as Linda Peiffer of Hitch in Time provided rides around Marchetta Lake in a horse-drawn carriage. Smiles were plentiful on the faces of everyone who took advantage of the beautiful ride around the lake; an incredible beginning of such an incredible day.

Heather Burns of 91.3 The Summit was the Emcee / Hostess for the gala - and what a pleasure it was to work with her. The chemistry between the two of us was instantaneous as we worked through the cocktail hours and the dinner program. She was just a tremendous pleasure to work with and we really enjoyed mingling with the guests, together. 

As always, the silent auction tent was filled with delicious hors d'oeuvres, mouthwatering drinks and auction items to suit everyone's taste. Bidding was nice and relaxed,at first, as everyone joined up with their family and friends. But as the closing of the silent auction drew nearer, buyers became quite excited as they vied for their final bid.

With the call to dinner, everyone headed to the amazingly large dinner tent with a great sense of anticipation. Stewart's Caring Place has a great history of providing a wonderfully delicious meal, relaxing music and phenomenal live auction and fund-a-need programs. This year was no exception. Heather Burns was a natural on the stage and brought a new dimension to the dinner program. 

It was another magical night for Stewart's Caring Place, and I am so grateful to be a part of this annual event. And more importantly, I am so proud of the staff and volunteers at Stewart's. The endless hours invested by all translated into an event that was truly marvelous, and another summer highlight in Northeast, Ohio.

Congratulations to all! Summer just wouldn't be the same without you.
