Stewart's Caring Place
6th Annual Butterfly Celebration Gala
The historic Merestead Farms in Green, near Portage Lakes was the perfect setting for the Stewart's Caring Place 6th Annual Butterfly Celebration Gala. Hosted by John and Lee Beese, the evening proved to be a magical moment.
The evening kicked off with delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks created and served by Beau's Grille, a beautifully displayed silent auction, the most perfect weather imaginable and jazz created by the Ira Jazz Project. Time seemed to fly by as everyone enjoyed the most comforting atmosphere under the beautifully decorated tents set up right next to the Beese's gorgeous home. Before we knew it, it was time to head down to the "celebration tent" for the start of the dinner program.
Moment's later after a beautiful stroll to the celebration tent, the dinner program was under way. Gary Himmel acted as host for the dinner program, thanking all those who made the evening possible and honoring their special guests, and inviting everyone to enjoy their meal. However, that was just the start to the evening's dinner program.
Soon another wave of excitement was about to begin as Gary introduced the live auction portion of this incredible event. With 10 live auction items and a fund-a-need request the final portion of the event kicked off.
Bidding was absolutely spirited and the energy was high as bidders raised their paddles for great items including a LeBron James autographed jersey with VIP tickets, Tiger Woods autographed Torrey Pines US Open Pin Flag, VIP tickets to watch a live taping of Dancing with the Stars and much, much more!
And don't forget about the Fund-a-Need program! This year Stewart's Caring Place had hopes and dreams to raise an additional $50,000 for their new endowment fund, during the evening's fund-a-need program. Imagine everyone's awe of excitement as the crowd responded by pledging $65,000!
All in all, the live auction and fund-a-need program reached $102,000! Another proud moment for Stewart's Caring Place and another moment Benefit Auction Services was proud to be part of.
